What are the Benefits of Affirmations?

While you may be a very good person to others, you might not feel like you're at 100% with yourself. You might beat yourself up with negative self-talk, or take all the challenges that come along with adult life personally.

Life is hard, and it wears you down! But it shouldn't be made harder by limiting patterns of self-destructive thinking.

Affirmations make positive changes to your self-esteem. They rewire your brain so you can come into your own power and exude radiant, genuine self-confidence.

Positive affirmations also help you solidify your life vision. By summoning your personal power, it helps you align with your true self, not the version of you that's downtrodden by low-frequency thoughts and attitudes.

The result of this is that you will interact with the world differently.

You'll bring more energy to your social encounters and people will respond positively to you.

You'll take on daunting challenges with full confidence.

You can even gain access to higher levels of consciousness that you were shutting yourself out of previously.

Studies have even demonstrated that higher levels of confidence correlate with improved performance, with all else held equal.

There is science behind daily affirmations as well.

How do you perform Affirmations?

There is no set-in-stone best way to do affirmations. Like everything else in your spiritual practice, it is an intimate activity that you will mold to best suit your needs and preferences.

To get started, it is generally best to begin with a twice-a-day structure: say your affirmations when you wake up in the morning and right before bed.

Say each affirmation at least 10 times during a session; the session shouldn’t take more than five minutes or so. An important thing to remember is to say them in the present tense.

Try not to mindlessly drone your affirmations. They give you all the tools to take conscious control over your energy. Focus on them.

Don't just say your affirmations, but feel them too.

Inhale confidence with each breath, and transfer them into your words.

Say each affirmation with absolute, unwavering certainty. Keep repeating them until you're at full confidence.

Affirmations that increase your personal power are a positive example of "fake it till you make it" because while they're simply raising your vibration now, soon will your accomplishments speak for you.

Are Affirmations Manifestation?

Affirmations are certainly a piece of the manifestation puzzle, but manifestation is a much more involved practice than just affirmation.

Manifestation focuses on a total reinvention of your way of thinking and perceiving yourself, and the world around you. It is a means of shaping reality to bring you in vibrational harmony with your desires and thereby bring them into your life.

Affirmations are good for general personal development, but for effective manifestation, you should include some other elements to your practice.
